The Friendly Folks at Structure BPI

Ron Reeves & Mike Becknal first joined forces in the construction business in 1989. Their complimentary talents have helped to form a bond and commitment to quality workmanship and service which has lasted through the years, culminating in the formation of Structure Building Partners, Inc. in May 2007. With a vision and mission to build one of the most talented teams of construction professionals in the area, Structure Building Partners, Inc. is poised and dedicated to meet these goals.

Mike Beknal, Owner

Mike Becknal

Mike has been “hands-on” in every aspect of the construction trades since his graduation from Lubbock Coronado High School in 1975. Mike and his wife Jamie married in 1977 and moved west to Phoenix to learn the construction trade for 5 years. He soon decided that they wanted to lay down roots and build a family and business in Lubbock, so in 1982 they returned to Lubbock to form Canyon Construction.

Since that time, Mike and Jamie have worked diligently building quality homes and commercial projects. Mike is a member of the West Texas Homebuilder’s Association, and he and Jamie have two daughters, Erin Ehler and Katie Dannheim. In his spare time, Mike is an avid hunter and Pa Pa to his grandkids.

Ron Reeves, Owner

Ron Reeves

Ron Reeves entered the construction business in 1987, having learned the trade from his step-father Charles Griffin, a contractor of many years. Ron quickly established himself as one of the top builders in the Lubbock area, building high-end residential homes and smaller commercial projects. Ron served as President of the West Texas Home Builder’s Association in 2002 and has served multiple terms on the Board of Directors. He has also served as President of the Texas Tech Lettermen’s Association, President of the Adult Chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and as a board member of the South Plains Children’s Shelter.

Ron is a 1983 graduate of Texas Tech University with a degree in Business Administration. Ron is married to his high-school sweetheart, Nancy (also a Tech graduate) and they have three daughters, Lindsay Christensen, Leanna Reeves, and Layne Reeves.

Mike Lowe of Structure BPI

Mike Lowe

Born and raised in West Texas, the son of school teachers, Mike was raised in the farm community of Loop, Texas. He recalls dreaming of being an architect as early as 12 years old. To that end, Mike graduated at the head of his architectural class at Texas Tech in 1983. He has been a Texas registered architect since 1990. After 17 years with a design/build construction firm, Mike started his own design/construction business, MPL Designs, Inc. in 2000. He considers himself a "non-conventional" architect, in that he has always worked directly for construction firms rather than architectural firms. This has developed into more than 30 years of construction and design experience with a common-sense approach to both.

Mike "married up" in 1980 to his wife Brenda and they consider themselves parents of three, Trent, his wife Kristi, and Keitha. Currently Mike and Brenda are selecting the names they want their first grandchild to call them - how does Mimi and Pops sound?

Chuch Martin, Project Coordinator

Chuck Martin

Chuck grew up in Quitaque, Texas. He graduated from Valley High School in 1986. After working as a project coordinator in Dallas, as a project manager in Lubbock and as a safety coordinator at Kennedy Space Center in Florida, Chuck joined the Structure Building Partners team as a project coordinator in 2007.

Chuck met his wife Kimberly who is the love of his life while attending college. They have two beautiful children, Seth and Emma.

Sheila McCay Office Manager

Sheila McCay

Sheila has lived in West Texas all her life, except for a 9 month sabbatical to Seattle Washington. She married her lifelong friend, David McCay and enjoyed raising her beautiful daughters Britni and Shonda so much, that she put off getting her degree for several years. Sheila graduated head of her college at Lubbock Christian University in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting. She worked at Incode (an accounting software company) for 5 ½ years before coming to work for Structure Building Partners in January 2008. She is loving the challenge of being Office Manager/Accountant at Structure.

Sheila’s favorite past time is still hanging out with her family and church family. Britni married Austin Howard in July ’08 so she now gets to have a SON!

Russ Moore

Russ Moore

Russ Moore was born and raised in Lovington, NM. He entered the construction industry in 1985 building sub-stations for the local electric co-op. He received a degree in Finance from Abilene Christian University in 1990. Since then he's been involved in just about every aspect of the Real Estate business as an investor in residential and commercial properties, as an agent/broker, and has also been part of a few small development projects. He jumped at the chance to join the Structure team in 2007 and couldn't imagine a better group of people to work with.

Russ and his beautiful wife Jennifer also own and operate a horseback riding facility providing therapy services for individuals with disabilities. In their spare time they enjoy playing tennis and chasing their children, Dalton, Carson and Ali around.
